Looking for a unique handbag for that special occasion? Why not design it? We provide the supplies, you bring the creativity! After you design the wood board for your handbag, the Bags to Butterflies team will take it from there and create the final product---your very own handbag designed by you, plus, you will be supporting a great cause!
WHERE DO I DESIGN MY BOARD?
Our doors are always open! You can join us at The Butterfly House where you can design your painted board and meet the ladies behind our handbags. Hourly appointments are available Monday-Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. Tour of The Butterfly House and Oakland Avenue Urban Farm included (Weather permitting for the farm tour)!
You can also design your board from the comfort of your own home, your studio, or wherever you feel inspired to be creative. Simply pick up your handbag kit that will include the wood board and four paint colors of our choice. Don’t like our choices? You are not limited to the selected colors; feel free to use your own painting medium. Not local to Detroit? Your handbag kit can be shipped to you.
WHAT’S LEFT?
Because we use every inch of the wood board when creating our handbags, there is always room for extra products. The remainder of your board can be used to create pendants, bowties, cufflinks, butterfly ornaments, and butterfly t-shirt ties, for a small fee, of course.

For groups of 10 or more, we will travel to your location. Must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.

Designing the wood board can take between 20-30 minutes to complete.
